    Abstract

    An analysis of the epistemological conditions is given that must be fulfilled for an acceptable account of the correspondences between mind and brain. The consequences of this analysis are described for two cognitive tasks for which simulation experiments on the computer have been done. and for which also experimental evidence is available.
