    Abstract

    The intranuclear cascade model and the hydrodynamical approach are considered with respect to their relation to macroscopic transport properties of nuclear matter. We indicate how the Enskog prescription together with a properly chosen mean-field potential corresponding to the compressional part of the equation of state can be used to obtain a more realistic description of the collision dynamics in high-energy nucleus-nucleus reactions. Resulting expressions for the thermal part of the equation of state, viscosity and heat conductivity coefficients are given.
