    Abstract

    In this chapter a variety of late antique sources – letters, travel accounts, maps, historiographical writings, vitae – are discussed regarding representations of travel and geography. Special attention is devoted to texts on religious travel to the Holy Land and the Christianizing of travel as a distinguishing feature of late antiquity.
