Abstract

A patient with atrial fibrillation and sick sinus syndrome and no other relevant medical history is referred for hybrid AF ablation. During endocardial mapping, there are extensive areas of low voltage throughout the left atrium. During follow up a lamin A/C gene (LMNA) mutation was demonstrated explaining the conduction disorder and extensive atrial remodeling.
