Abstract
It is of great importance that results of screening for cannabis in urine are reported in a correct way. This can be realised by measuring the creatinine concentration in urine. Cannabinoid concentrations can then be normalised by dividing the cannabinoid concentration by the creatinine concentration. Normalising the cannabinoid concentration reduces the variability caused by (intentional) dilution. Based on publications and practical experience a uniform way of reporting is suggested.
