Abstract

Its purpose of the website is to provide systematic and generally accessible documentation concerning Dutch political parties. The emphasis lies on activities of parties outside the First and Second Chamber of Parliament, as parliamentary activities are documented by the Parliamentary Documentation Centre (PDC) at the University of Leiden. The collection of the DNPP contains items from the late nineteenth century, when the first Dutch political parties were established. However, the major part consists of documents produced after 1945. A part of this documentation is available in electronic form on the website.
