Abstract

The value of strategic planning is subject to discussion. On the one hand, it can be argued that strategic planning enables decision makers to coordinate strategic decisions and enables them to aticipate on the future environment the company has to operate in. On the other hand, it can be asserted that strategic planning as a process in which decision makers can influence the position of the company in its environment is too ambitious. The weakness of strategic planning can be its own strics logic, arriving at a certain moment in time at a coherent strategy that is accepted by the majority of the people that work in the company. ...
