However, knowledge can also hinder decision-making or produce the wrong decision. . In addition, political education is a broad concept that is in need of definition. The ways in which political education in history is valued differs in various nations. This programme limits this broad field of enquiry to the development of a historical, international comparative, programme which investigates the historical knowledge of political leaders and the ways in which they have used positive and negative historical leadership examples, historical analogy, and moral justification in their political decision-making in times of crisis
