Description
Cookbooks are among the best sources we have for the study of food history, but they also give us a glimpse of the material culture present in the early modern kitchens. Join this highly interactive workshop in augmenting your research skills in culinary history. The workshop covers themes such as the layout and interior of the kitchen, the utensils used and the material(s) of which they were made. All this information is of interest to the archaeologist, as it paints a picture of domestic material culture not always present in the archaeological archive.
