The paper explores the role of human involvement in algorithmic decision-making processes and the consequential tension between standardisation and professional judgment when the implementation of minimum income schemes. By analyzing policy documents, legal texts, and literature from various domains, the study aims to develop a more nuanced understanding of the multifaceted nature of human intervention and discretion in automated decision-making processes within the context of minimum income protection.
