Description
Cinema Politica Groningen hosted a panel discussion and screening as part of National History Month. The event centred on The Archivettes, a documentary showcasing the Lesbian Herstory Archives in New York, which powerfully critiques the rewriting of stories as "history" and highlights the active role individuals can take in shaping their histories and futures.
I joined the panel alongside Elizabeth Falade, Stacey Copeland, and Mineke Bosch, with Dan Leberg facilitating the discussion. Together, we explored media archives as a vital subject in modern humanities, connecting global and local perspectives on cultural memory and archival practices.
