Description
This talk was part of the Inclusion in Citizen Participation Symposium on 14 June, organized by the Environmental Psychology expert group of the University of Groningen and the Public Participation Center. In this talk, I shared first insights from my PhD research, highlighting the intricate ways in which secular and religious elements intersect within the broader landscape of citizen participation. By addressing the concept of "religion" in the public sphere, I presented initial findings from my fieldwork. The research project exemplifies how religious organizations can play a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and promoting sustainable practices. Understanding these dynamics is crucial in the light of climate change, as incorporating diverse perspectives into the narratives and policies being implemented can enhance the effectiveness and inclusivity of our responses to this global challenge.Periode | 14-jun.-2024 |
