12 Dutch subprojects awarded in European biodiversity programme

Description

The European biodiversity programme 'Biodiversa+' has awarded 12 Dutch subprojects. In total, the Dutch participation encompass over 3.7 million euro, jointly funded by NWO, the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and the European Commission.

Two subprojects are based in GELIFES:

  • Weddell Sea Observatory of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Change (WOBEC)
    Main applicant: Prof. Dr. Jacqueline Stefels, University of Groningen
  • Integrated Monitoring of PArasites in Changing EnvironmenTs (IMPACT)
    Main applicant: Prof. Dr. David Thieltges, Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research
