The Athena Award celebrates exceptional female researchers who serve as role models, demonstrating that a successful career in science is attainable. Winners of this award actively support other women following in their footsteps. This year, two distinguished female scientists are honoured with the Athena Award, each receiving €50,000 in prize money.

The 2024 winners are: Prof. dr. Hannah Dugdale (RUG) & Prof. dr. Liesbeth Janssen (TUE)
