    The Millennium Technology Prize awards technological innovations that improve the quality of people’s lives in a sustainable manner. To promote nominations for high caliber candidates for the 2016 Prize, TAF arranges a series of panel discussions worldwide to draw attention to the themes of the prize: learning, health and clean environment.

    Through its cooperation with Aalto University, CERN IdeaSquare will host a panel discussion on the current and future potential of sensory and imaging technologies in science, health and security. The panel will discuss practical cases and the societal impact of these breakthrough technologies.

    The panelists are Professor Peter Dendooven, KVI-CART, University of Groningen and Professor at the Helsinki Institute of Physics; Dr Andrea Cuomo, Executive Vice-President, ST Microelectronics and Dr Sergio Bertolucci, Director of Research and Computing, CERN. The panel is moderated by Luke Collins, Editor of the Tech Design Forum.
