Description
This is some processed lightning data collected by the LOFAR radio telescope. This data is being published in "LOFAR for Lightning Imaging" by Hare et. al. The data can be read the the software at https://github.com/Bhare8972/LOFAR-LIM. As discussed in the readme for the scripts, this data must be placed in a particular directory structure: "some folder"/"year"/"timeID"/"analysis". In this case the timeID is D20160712T173455.100Z and the year is 2016. The files here contain two different analysis: pulse data and found point sources. There is also calibration data (which should be treated like an analysis with respect to the file structure), as well as four text files that give important information about the antennas (bad antennas, addition timing calibration, polarization flips, and stating timings). These four text files should be placed in the "some folder"/"year"/"timeID" folder. Due to space limitations, the analyses (in this case it is just the pulses) had to be split between different zip archives. Therefore, each archive has a '$' symbol followed by a number simple to keep them separate. E.G. pulse_data$0, pulse_data&1, ect... should all be extracted to the same analysis folder: "some folder"/2016/D20160712T173455.100Z/puse_data, in order for the scripts to read and process all the data correctly.
