Description

Data and code for soil food web modelling and energy flux estimations for land use effects assessment on trophic functions. Data on soil fauna and soil properties was collected on November 2021 and April 2022, in El Manso Valley (Rio Negro, Argentina). The data table provided contains biomass and metabolic rates of the feeding guilds of soil fauna that compose the nodes of the food web, trait data used as input for the food web matrices reconstruction, and scaled litter thickness for each land-use type for estimations of litter consumption. The R code for the soil food web reconstruction and energy fluxes estimations between the nodes is also supplied. Trait data and R code have been modified from Potapov, A.M. (2022), Multifunctionality of belowground food webs: resource, size and spatial energy channels. Biol Rev, 97: 1691-1711. https://doi.org/10.1111/brv.12857
