    Description

'From Audiovisual Essay to Academic Research Video'

Through its technological innovation and multimedia possibilities, audiovisual work evolves to become a novel scholarly technique that complements the longstanding tradition of the written paper. Whether it is about doing research by working with AV material, or working with AV material for producing research output in the form of an audiovisual essay, videographic criticism is a truly hands-on ‘learning-by-doing’ research practice and communicational mode for our empowered, technically savvy students.

During my FIT fellowship, I will be working on both the theoretical (evaluation criteria, scholarly soundness) and technical (software and hardware requirements) aspects of the audiovisual essaying practice, defining the autonomous and explanatorily argumentative research video.
