Samenvatting
This final chapter provides a critical analysis of the six discussed trends by means of ontologicalontological, epistemologicalepistemological and methodological considerations. To determine the state of our world, we should start with a reconsideration of actors, including non-human actors, and how they are related. We critically amend the role of academic institutionsacademic institutions applying transdisciplinary transdisciplinaryapproaches in search of a direct contribution to societal challengessocietal challenges. To craft the economy of the future intra-organisational collaborationcollaboration aimed at societal challengessocietal challenges could be a great vehicle in creating synergy between the contribution of societal actors but there is a need for high-level coordination to ensure that these developments contribute to a society that is fair for all or will generate well-being for all.
