Samenvatting
Despite the fact that the naked statistical evidence problem has been discussed for more than forty years now, philosophers, legal scholars and probability theorists still offer divergent and sometimes conflicting arguments why a high probability on its own should not suffice to decide a case against a defendant. The focus of this article is on a preliminary matter, viz the nature of naked statistical evidence. I analyse an aspect of the problem that has not been discussed in the literature so far, namely that there are different ways of being naked.
