Twenty-six drawings depicting silver objects, some of them surviving works by Adam and Christiaen van Vianen, can be identified as records of pieces owned by the eighteenth-century Dutch collector Anthony III Grill. Comparison of the drawings with auction catalogues and extant objects provides a great deal of information about these famous seventeenth-century Dutch silversmiths and the continued appeal of their work to collectors.
