Samenvatting
Societal trust in knowledge, more specifically in science, seems to be under pressure. The loss of trust in science can also undermine trust in government. Moreover, it poses a threat to the democratic rule of law, because the democratic rule of law and modern science are grounded in the ideals of the enlightenment, ideals which are being undermined on social media.
