Samenvatting
The search for a good vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 has scientists around the world working overtime. A
great public interest is at stake: the health of (vulnerable) people and public life. On October 20
2020, a trial was announced in Britain that will consciously infect volunteers in January 2021
with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to determine dose. First, one will figure out what is the smallest possible
amount of virus causing the infection in volunteers between the ages of 18 and 30. The announcement of this study was
cause for heated debate whether "human challenge studies" (HCS) for SARS-CoV-2 are acceptable.
