Information processing and sleep deprivation: Effects of knowledge of results and task variables on choice reaction

Study of the effects of one night sleep deprivation on reaction-time performance in the additive-factors paradigm. Effects of various combinations of stimulus degradation, time uncertainty, S-R compatibility with and without knowledge of results and incentives were assessed in a computerized choice-reaction task. The results were evaluated against Sanders' 1983-model of stages of information processing and energetic mechanisms.
