Samenvatting
This chapter gives an overview of four different interventions to foster communication between people with congenital deafblindness and their hearing and seeing communication partners. In these interventions the cinical diagnostic cycle plays a central role like in the earlier developed Contact program. The interventions are performed by a communication coach who follows a fixed protocol which ensures integrety of implementation. These different interventions are focused on different aims in interpersonal communication: fostering a) affective involvement and reducing negative emotions, b) intersubjective development in communication, c) tactile strategies in interactions and communication and d) expressions based on bodily emotional traces.
