    Samenvatting

This dissertation aimed to improve the detection of pancreatic cancer, helping doctors make better decisions about the most appropriate treatment for each patient. This approach prevents patients from receiving too much or too little treatment. The research provided new evidence on current diagnostic methods and the evaluation of lymph nodes and metastases during surgery. Additionally, it offered valuable insights into the use of fluorescence-guided surgery in pancreatic cancer.
