    Samenvatting

The plans for nucleon-nucleon bremsstrahlung measurements below the particle-production threshold are outlined. The main goal of these measurements is to study the off-shell behavior of the nucleon-nucleon interaction. This is done by measuring cross sections and analyzing powers of the production of high energy photons in one of the most fundamental processes, i.e. proton-proton scattering, and also in more complicated reactions such as proton-nucleus collisions. A proton detection system designed to handle extremely high rates at small angles is discussed. An extension of this system can be used to measure more exclusive observables such as spin-transfer coefficients.
