Time a Priori and Time a Posteriori: a clash between Farmers and the Dutch State in the Dutch Nitrogen Crisis

Samenvatting

The Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality introduced 'calendar agriculture' to protect the environment. Nature, however, does not follow the time of the clock, which the author calls time a priori, but follows its own pace, which she calls time a posteriori. This is one of the reasons why farmers clashed with the Dutch State in the Dutch Nitrogen Crisis, a crisis that started in 2019 and still continues.
